Yes, if you're on the RJ. Plenty of 4 days on the EMB.

Hmm. I was researching - Skywest used to not pay new hires while in training. Is this still the case?... This may have a pretty big impact.

I am about to finish week 2 in bro newhire class and we get paid 60 hrs a month thru IOE (at least i think its thru IOE).

If anyone is curious on the bases this is how our class got awarded.
-out of the 10 in the class Top 6 got FAT, then Next 3 got MRY, then the last got LAX)

- I guess 3 senior guys transfered from MRY to FAT thus why some got MRY.

I have to say from the first day I walked into Skywest (SLC) to interview to right now I am happy I am here, EVERYONE (from the Instructors to the EMB upgrade class, to the other employees, everyone smiles and says hello in the halls. It actually feels like a family atmosphere and not something people talk about and never see out of the building. But thats just what I have seen so far of the 2 weeks I have been here.

they never gave me the option just that when they gave me the conditional offer they said take whatever they give you and it most likely will be the EMB. Like everyone has been saying take the EMB if they offer or give it to you. They will have a class a month in the EMB. Besides you can fly more in the EMB in due to the 30 seats (1200 in a year, 120 a month, 34 in 7) plus common who doesnt like the sound of BETA

Take the Bro if you have a chance. Unless things take a big change (Not likely) I would bet it will be a long while before they start new hires jet classes. There are many of us here now that have been waiting for a transition class to the jet that are off our seat locks. Once they have gone through the pool of us waiting, new hires will start to be called. At least I hope thats how its going to work.

I just switched from the CRJ pool to BRO class. I live in south Orange County and am wondering what the lines are like out of SAN, PSP, LAX(reserve lines). To be more specific:

1. Are there a lot of 1 or 2 day trips?

2. Any standups?

3. If not any of the above, what are the typical lines for junior lineholder?

4. How long from call to show for reserve?

Thanks for the info in advance!
