Defending myself from? You keep acting like there is something I, or others, have to defend ourselves from.

what I am saying is that quite a few XJETers out there seem to want to put down everyone else when people are asking for honest and good information on ONLY THE COMPANY THEY ASKED ABOUT.
And dont think im just bashing XJETers... If they were hiring I definitely would apply there... I have nothing against the company. in fact my friend who works for XJET highly recommends it.....

The other side is this. It can really be taken as an insult when another pilot group is willing to do your job for less. That really upsets a lot of people because it can be taken personally. A pilot at AWAC, Horizon, XJT, Comair, AE is trying to get ahead in life, support their family and have some job security yet all this is jeopardized daily by the lowest bidding, lowest paid, lowest work rules pilots.
...and back to the original post, it's not right that Pinnacle pilots and their profits bought Colgan their Q400s. The judge ruled so. Here's the analogy. UND buys 15 C172s and ups their tuition rates, then gives them to ERAU students to fly down in FL and ERAU lowers their tuition. What's fair and just about that?

ExpressJet pilots aren't putting people down. We're not mean, we're not bullies. It's actually a great pilot group. However, our mentality is that if people stop going to work for the worst airlines around, the better ones will persevere. What keeps Mesa, Colgan, Pinnacle running is pilot applications. A lot of people don't realize this. The 'regional is a regional' arguement is completely invalid. I can get you a XJT and Mesa contract and you can come to your own conclusions.

I hate to get involved in an internet ****ing match that goes nowhere, I prefer to go face to face. But typersuit, arent you the guy that ran to mommy and daddy in the majors forum and stared this post...
Some Colgan Pilots think they don't take flying away from CAL - check this post out ( 1 2 3)
tpersuit
so I dont think anyone is twisting what you say. And yes I work for pinchanickle so I think I'd have more of a right of an argument about getting flying taken away by Colgan than you would at xjt, but thats not where im intending to go with this post.
Point is management and mainline decides who is flying it, dont blame the pilot group unless they are new hires at an alter-ego.

So your saying that those of us at CJC have no interest in getting ahead in life, could care less about supporting our families and don't want job security? That is the dumbest thing I have read here in a while. First of all, any pilot at any regional has already made efforts to get ahead in life. And for supporting our families, those of us that do have families, myself included, manage to make end's meet, a lot of us might have spouses that actually work too believe it or not which is called "dual income", and it's not always about how much you make but what you do with what you make. As for job security, in this industry? I dont think so. Having a family just means you dont spend the money on Ipods, Iphones and all the other little toys I see out there. Instead, you buy your child a pair shoes, take them to the museum, circus, whatever. It's part of growing up. You'll find out one day junior.

I have no doubt that you are trying to get ahead of life. We all are. We aren't going to get ahead in this profession if people keep applying to Colgan to fly the Q400 for peanuts. You know that Colgan/Pinnacle management doesn't want to pay you more. They are laughing all the way to the bank everytime a Q400 pushes out of the gate! 74 passengers, all kinds of revenue, just a portion to the crew.
Now just imagine if no one applied to work at Colgan. What do you think they would do? Just imagine.

Nice association there. Are you admitting that you went to work to join the non-union lowest bidding, lowest paid/work rules pilot group? Let us know how that helped our profession.
