uh huh...not quite a reality based concept there is it? must be nice to live in dreamland where having ALPA makes everything all better. too bad it's not like that in the real world.
My point is that without ALPA this issue would have never seen the light of day. Since there was a legally binding contract that forced the company to arbitration, a ruling was issued. Again, something that would not have happened without a union. Also, with ALPA resources, if the company does not abide, they will file a suit in federal court. Something individuals without union representation would be hard pressed to do. Of course there are always exceptions when an employer decides they don't like one of their employees and fires them for calling in fatigued and finally get their job back after paying for the lawsuit out of pocket.
I don't think anything I have said is based out of anything other than reality.

Some of us are not so lucky, like myself, to work for an employer that respects its pilots. And I have a legally binding contract. If it works for the CEO to have a legally binding employment contract, it works for pilots as well. Don't you think?
