Default NY Bases

Hey everyone,

I know that bases open and close all the time and it may be hard to predict what might happen, but here it goes..... Im wondering what bases are open in western, central, eastern NY and NYC and how you think they are doing and whether you think they will stay open or close. Im looking for info on any regional airline only. Are there any bases that just opened or just (or are going to) close(d)? Thanks in advance and feel free to post any other comments about your airline, likes or dislikes.......just no bashing please!

Colgan:
Albany (ALB)
Binghamton (BGM)
Buffalo (BUF)
Ithaca (ITH)
Jamestown (JHW)
LaGuardia (LGA)
Rochester (ROC)
Syracuse (SYR)
White Plains (HPN)

Air Wisconsin (supposed to be open sometime later this year), American Eagle and Piedmont:
LGA

Republic (Chautauqua flying):
BUF
LGA

Mesa:
JFK

Hope this helps

I have seen the bases listed on APC but have beard that colgan is or has closed BUF, ROC and will be closeing JHW can anyone confirm that. Right now the only flight Colgan has into roc is BUF-ROC-BDL BDL-ROC-BUF and the pilots come from BUF. In the summer the flights go to BUF-BDL and ROC-BDL direct if ROC is closed what base will the pilots come from? Thanks

BUF is not closing, nor ROC. Not yet anyway. JST and BKW are. Not sure about JHW, but I have heard that rumor. May be true.

PDT has a base in LGA but be willing to live out of a crashpad if you commute cause almost all trips are out-n-backs. I also hear it is hard to commute from upstate NY such as SYR or ROC. Don't know for sure. Never tried it. Just passing on what I hear.

A pilot I know has moved to SYR because he said ROC had closed, but BUF was still open, but you say ROC is still open....is there anyway to confirm what bases for Colgan are still open besides the website? I know they use to have the one saab overnight but it goes to BUF now.
