I know that a few people on here where supposed to interview with ASA on the 27-28th. I was supposed to interview those 2 days as well but had to reschedule because of a conflict with my current job. Was wondering how it went for you guys/gals and if you had any heads up info on how the process went.

I interviewed on 2/19~20. The interviewers really put us at ease. Show up on 3rd floor at noon, get a presentation on the company then one on the CRJ700 along with the general profile for the next day. Then tabular test, then written, then they selected us at random for one-on-one. Told to call the number and listen for the last 4 of your social, if it's on there they tell you what time to be at Flightsafety on day 2. I was done with day 1 at 4:30 and was the last to get the one-on-one interview. On day 2 you meet at assigned time, get a briefing from the instructor, then decide among yourselves who to pair with and who goes first. If all goes well you are told to walk back to the 3rd floor for pee test and fingerprinting, then I got a date on the spot. I know some people have had to wait on a call, usually in 24~48 hrs... all depends on what their office staffing is on the day of the interview, I believe. We were out of there around noon on day 2.

The gouges on aviationinterviews.com were great study material, most everything I experienced is on there.

Well thanks for the info-

Completed my First Day of the Interview today, and just got the word that I have been invited back for Day 2, which is the Sim portion.

Any tricks of the trade for flying the 700 Sim? Everyone that I talked to today said it flys really well but just seems to be a lil pitch sensitive. Well any info you guys would like to share would be greatly appreciated!

Use the airspeed trend vector as much as possible. 8,000 ft. at 250 KIAS requires roughly 2.5 degrees pitch up to maintain altitude. And then obviously trim. Not much else I can say. They give you a pretty good profile before the ride with power settings and such.

Thanks- Any hints on the steep turns? In the Sabre its always pitch up n two clicks-any hints like this?

Be pilots. If you're too high, nose down. If you're too low, nose up. I think this works in any airplane.

Of course it does but theres always a trick for every airplane & sim to make it perfectly level all the way around. But thanks for your reply

But seriously. I'd be highly impressed if you could make it perfectly level on your first try in an airplane you've never flown. If I were evaluating you, I'd cut you some slack. I think whoever does tomorrow probably will, too.
