New Hire Uniform Etiquette

"that guy" refers to the guy who wears it everywhere and looks around to make sure people notice him
i understand that you not always have time to get changed before eating, and therefore does not make you "that guy"
i am by no means embarassed to wear the uniform, but i also do not wear it when it is not required of me

I just love it when someone comes up and asks for directions at the airport...I'm usually just as lost as they are! I have also had people come up to me in the lobby of the hotel and ask me to get their bags!

I always feel bad when I'm at an airport I don't know, and passengers come up asking where so and so terminal or gate is. I usually just have to look up and theres a big sign with where to go, but I try to help out. I imagine for passengers that rarely go to an airport, it could be a bit over-whelming.

I had a kid walk up and use the bubbler (water fountain for you guys outside of WI) next to me and say "Hello Officer" to me. I was wearing my full ramp uniform: orange vest, dirty blue fall jacket, blue pants, brown steel toed boots, a knit hat and my ear protection.

they shouldnt. LDS missionaries dont dress like that, they are much more PROFESSIONAL() looking in full black suits then a stripped down uniform and more clean cut then many of todays "younger" pilots. Nice try but completly inaccurate.

Hmmmmm, then are there fake missionaries going around? The last set I saw, yesterday, were not wearing the suit jacket. It was also around 85 F.
