Exclamation Pinnacle Picketing EWR Monday FEB 04

Since the other thread contains a lot of heated discussion, I am posting this so that the core message does not get lost...

I am asking you to come out and support your fellow pilots at the informational picketing event at EWR airport on 2/4. This affects not only Pinnacle but the whole profession. We are trying to send a message to Pinnacle management that we will no longer tolerate being treated like indentured servants and we demand a fair and equitable contract NOW. The outcome of our contract negotiations process could set a precedent for all future contracts/negotiations...

"Colgan Airlines is scheduled to begin Q400 service for Continental Airlines out of EWR on February 4th. Pinnacle ALPA will be conducting informational picketing at the EWR passenger terminal “C” on the 4th to remind management that while they have so far been able to ignore us at the bargaining table they will not be able to ignore us in public eyes. Show management how you feel about the seemingly endless funds they pour into the fleet expansion of another airline while pleading poverty in our contract negotiations."

The schedule of events is as follows:

11:00 Assembly at the EWR Marriot hotel (located on the airport property phone: 973-623-0006)
11:45-12:30 Picket briefing and transition to the picket area
12:30-14:00 Picket at terminal C
14:00 Event wrap up

The EWR Marriot is within walking distance of the passenger terminal or you can call 973-623-0006 for a pickup by the hotel van.

I would come and support if I could, we should all be more eager to make our profession be what it is meant to be instead of accepting any scraps that are thrown out just because its offered. Good Luck.

I am locking this to prevent further discussion, any discussion can be done in the thread that already exists about this topic. This way this thread can be straight to the point.
