Remember another difference is the fact that every Colgan pilot I have spoken to, including me, support you guys and wish you the best if you can finally be allowed to strike.

Their last ALPA vote failed by a single digit margin.

The pilots had no say what so ever regarding the Q pay rates. I was there when they came out and I didn't hear a single pilot go, "wow those rates are pretty good." Most were downright insulted by the rates, but without a union or other bargaining medium there was nothing they could do about it. Furthermore, all new-hires during the first ALPA drive were told not to vote in favor of a union. The company brainwashed them from the get-go.. I doubt all those pilots still look upon the company so fondly.
Good post, and despite how immature I act at times, I feel the same way. I don't dislike the Pilot Group, just some of the newer guys that think they have it all figured out, (Thats at all airlines)

When some of you guys bash ALPA, let me remind you, its not like ALPA is one person, it is made up of thousands of pilots, some make it appear that ALPA is one guy. It is management that ALPA will be protesting on the 4th, not the Pilot Group...........

Well, had most of us known the circumstance with Colgan / Pinnacle before getting the job offer with Colin things might be slightly different, but I supposed there would be someone right behind us willing to take to job anyways. I wish the best of luck to you Pinnacle guys and hope to see things work out for both of us. Our pay is definitely atrocious and I feel even worse by the pay that Lynx has taken to weaken our cause. We WILL have ALPA come the next vote and unfortunately by the time things actually change I will probably be long gone, but at least we can start into the right direction. Remember...not all of us at Colin are the bad guys, and we are all in this together.

ALPA has sunk to a new low. I can't believe that they are actually going to picket against a company that they don't even represent! It is just like an immature child crying and pouting for not getting his way.

ALPA is crumbling, and they know it. With no success at Skywest and Colgan, and soon to voted out at US Airways, they feel they must resort to this behaivor.

Thank God for Right to Work laws so I won't have to join them.

I agree that ALPA sucks, but not having a union at all sucks even worse.

Who now owns COLGAN? = PNCL! who now represents PNCL? = ALPA, not so smart are ya?

Is it like a child "pouting" who doesn't get its way, or is it about PNCL dumping money into Colgan, yet only willing to pay 2nd year F/O's 24/hr? They can put up the money for Colgan, yet they can't take the time to get a good contract done? Get a clue before you start bashing ALPA, and do some research before you make stupid comments

But Colgan has more expensive insurance, no diem (unless on overnight), no match 401K...and so on... More to it then just wage.

that is a blended rate for all the planes. and since the company is going to try and pay us the same on the 900 as the 200 then yes, colgan now makes more than us... so you see why the pinnacle pilots will be picketing in ewr??? all the money is being poured into colgan,, while the pinnacle pilots are being shown the door.

i have read some of your previous posts and i am not sure you even work at an airline. your ignorance of the industry is easy to see. and trust me i just read a majority of your 300 post, and the are mostly found in threads that are locked... big suprise there. you are a flame baiter and always will be. nuff said.
