I have been at Eagle for almost 6 yrs and cannot hold captain on the Saab or the ATR at this point. About 8 months ago, people one year senior to me were getting Saab captain positions, but that has come to a stop. Eagle is a strange place as far as upgrades are concerned. One minute you need 8 yrs to upgrade on anything, and then things get moving and people are upgrading a year and a half after getting hired. I think I rambled a bit, you probably get the point.

FO4Life...how do you like working at eagle?
the guy that did my HR interview was really open about the upgrades, he said not to count on one for at least 6 years at this point but he was quick to add that a lot of it depends on what the industry does over the next few years (obviously). he told me that even though its six years or more now it might be much shorter of an upgrade time in a couple of years.
BTW anyone who is curious about eagle minimums... i went by the minimums posted on their site and submitted through airlineapps.com. at the time of my interview i had 2100 total time with 190 multi. about 600 hours in the past 12 months and about 140 multi PIC in the past 6 months, my total IFR time was right around 120 actual with some simulated on top of that. almost all piper apache/aztek time.
The guy who interviewed with me that day had something to the order of 600 to 800 total time with about 90% of that being Multi engine time. During my tech interview the captain said "ill be honest here... he better do a damn good job on his tech and Sim ride if he is going to have a chance here with that total time." but the guy made it.
