Ok, I have vacation "officially" starting January 28th, however with a little manipulation and "bad/day worse" day, have off the 8 days before my "official" vacation. I have two weeks of vacation, and with a little work and bidding a 4-day that starts on my last day of vacation and hopefully the usually 4 or so days built in after a 4-day Ill try to find in Feb, I should be able to have off until somewhere in the early 20's of February........ Anybody else have any other interesting stories of how they were able to turn two weeks of vacation into much more? I know I kinda screwed myself by bidding the weeks back-to-back but I didn't know what I was awarded until it was too late. The best part is, I have a line value for 94hrs, with 4 hrs of deadhead ....................anyway my big plans for my 30 or so days off...........................GROW A BEARD. If anybody else is on vacation I urge you to grow a beard and post a pic on here before you go back to work...........I can't wait, I would imagine I will look very similar to my AVATAR

I will, I have never grown a beard past 4-5 days, I m pretty excited.............sad that growing a beard is what I'll be doing on vacation, but in all honesty, I am looking forward to it

Similar story. Been enjoying my "vacation" since Dec21 even though my official vacation week runs Dec31 to Jan5. Be back on the line Jan14. So what is that...24 days off from one measly little vacation week?

The bast I was ever able to do was 29 days off out of a 7 day vacation block. That was just with pure trip touching, no sliding and no trading. The key was to bid a block that spanned two bid months thus giving two chances to maximize the vacation.

I'm working on a beard now so that I can get it out of my system before I can never have one for a very long time. For me it's just one of those things I have to do.

Last year I grew out my hair and over the long Easter weekend I bought a $2 flanel from Wal Mart and cut my hair into a mullet. I dunno why I did it, I just had to do it at sometime in my life and I figured college was the best place for that.

10 -> 32 in a row last year...and I didn't pick up any open time. That was without any modification to my awarded schedule (ie just trip touching).

I took two weeks, one in Dec 06 the other in Jan 07. I had from December 12th till January 22nd off.
