Look at your sorry payrates. How do you think they will improve? The benevolence of the boys in St. George? They're laughing all the way to the bank. Your "no" vote says, I don't want pay rates to change at the regionals, I want to pay for my attorney when SKW mgmt fires me for fatigue, I want the big boys at the big airlines that are paying dues (like big boys do) to say "NO" when I ask them to help me get a job with the majors.

Just like they have "hung up" for the past 35 years that SkyWest has been non-ALPA / union? There are more former SkyWest pilots flying with major airlines than there are currently working here.

Keep dreaming. And like all the ALPA supporters who are scare mongers; you offer nothing positive. Merely threats, vendettas, and sad drivel.

I guess I"ll just have to keep putting up with this "sh!thole", but at least I wouldn't want to be in your sad little world.

Tailwinds always,

Tony

Having surgery on Friday, with whatever meds, then flying on Monday without being cleared by the AME.

Good point.

Oh wait, we don't need ALPA! Or do we?

ALPA sure helps in situations like these, I heard. Not trying to flame.

No we don't. Considering how alpa has screwed groups at Mesa, TSA and ect.

Not having alpa will be a plus this next coming year when regionals start getting the squeeze put on them. I'd rather lose a percent or 2 on pay rather than lose flying or worse losing my job.

PS if I were you I would worry about how Xjt is going to survive this next year.

didn't lose their jobs and were found not at fault.

These particular examples would be only a small example of what ALPA can do for pilots. It goes way beyond these things. Then again, someone as short sighted and as ignorant as you can't see that. ALPAs not there for just accidents, they are there for many, many more things.

I called in late for the first time... the plane I was commuting in got diverted to another town. We have no commuting policy, as many union carriers do, so I must have been fired, right?

No.... told me to call when I got there, a check airman took my leg, and I picked up the trip when it got back to base. The intermediate time, I was "on reserve". I don't think any "union" place would do better.

This thread will quickly deteriorate to the usual rhetoric..... good luck, guys.

Awwwww, whats a matter. Did they keep you from upgrading at SkyWest? Once again, someone as ignorant as you can't even see the endless list of benefits a union can bring, only the negatives. Keep drinking the KoolAid.
