As far as I know, the UFlyMike and the Bose X are the same ANR electronics with the only differences being cosmetic. That is the way I understand it as it was explained from the owner of FlyMike, but I may have it wrong. A lot of information came out after airlines started to mandate TSOd headsets.

I owned the lightspeed and when I tried my friends Bose X, I immediately sold my lightspeed to get the Bose. Yeah the lightspeed is cheaper, but after a couple months of not being impressed with it you'll wish you bought the bose

My biggest question is, how does the Bose feel with sunglasses on? I hate the feeling of a headset squeezing the arms of sunglasses into your head. Any thoughts on that?

I wear glasses and have never even thought about it.

I totally agree with Boilerpilot. I wear glasses, and absolutely LOVE my Bose X. Hands down the best headset I've ever owned.

I get headaches every time I wear a headset over my shades, and the Bose is no exception. I have been tilting my sunglass arms up over the top of the ear seals since I started flying, so I'm used to it, and it doesn't bother me at all.

Ya' know, that may be the case - I haven't tried the QC2 set-up. I flew with an FO who had the X for work and the QC2 for commuting and he mentioned the X was much quieter. FWIW.

Another bonus to the QC2/UFlyMike is there is a mp3 port.

I have the Bose X. It is great. It is expensive. I got a deal where they gave me a free GPS with the headset. What is not mentioned is Bose's great customer support. I was commuting in a 767 cockpit and the arm rest came down and pull my headset cord out of the y cord where it splits into two. I called bose. They said they would fix it free, and it is under warrantee till 2012!. I use the military version also in the KC-135 cockpit with the AF Reserve, it makes all the difference in the 105 decibel cockpit

I love my X headset, but hate it when it messes up my hair...
