Oh nevermind, I refuse to respond to TD. I had posted something but I find it amusing how often TD spouts off about SkyWest when he once wanted a job here.

Oh your big mind reader!!!! I like the company then and like them now. I like the stock options, pilot group happiness, etc. However from day one I've always said I'm pro union. A company is great when times are great. I've never thought SKW was a horrible place. There's many places I'd start cleaning up first. Things start to change though and it has nothing to do with me being at RAH. All of my opinions are non-bias. RAH has their issues too and I won't deny them. But you guys voted against a union now you have to let us take a jab here and there for it. It does affect us too even if you don't admit it.

TD If your attitude toward SkyWest is not as negative as I thought than I stand corrected it just has not seemed that way to me since you got hired at RAH. Yes we voted Non-Union does that make this a horrible place? No it doesn't and I am glad you pointed that out. I also don't buy off on the fact that SkyWest not being union is dragging down the entire industry nor are we riding the coat tails of the rest of the industry as some people say. Do we have some issues that need to be looked at? Yes, just like you say RAH does we have just decided on a different relationship with managment to fix those things. Like I said, it just seems to ME like you have really bagged on SkyWest alot on these forums since you got hired at RAH. They are still a good company to work for as most people here will tell you.

Ooops, nevermind....here's a quote from Koolaidman from 10-31:
"I THINK we will get an increase in pay after the vote if it fails. Just my opinion and no facts to back it up. I will be disappointed if we don't. The ALPA guys on here will say we won't, but I have faith in our management to make that situation right. There is no reason why while our performance numbers on the whole are better than theirs that they are paid more. I asked our SAPA President how come they got the pay rates they did and he was the one who led me to believe my comment about our pay being increased after the vote."
You really are drinking the koolaid.
The company had a chance to give you a raise with a union drive looming and they hosed you guys bigtime. What makes you think you will get a raise once a union drive fails? That's laughable.

So because we we did not vote union we no longer have a voice? I am pretty sure we can still complain about our pay and try to get it raised by doing so. We have just chosen a different avenue in which to complain through.
