wow are you serious that really happened? If that really happened then I would think having your apps pulled from Fedex is fair game.

It really is a shame. But this is the tooth and nail tactics that many pilots feel are necessary after all this profession has been through. The need to protect and improve compensation and working conditions is no joking matter to many pilots.

I've only heard fiftieth hand on that one. Does anybody have a first hand account of what happened? (Fedex MEC chairman kicked out of crew lounge)

not sure if denying jumpseats is the answer, since so many legacy guys use skywests jumpseats. doubt that would ever happen.

the problem is that not only is a large group of the SKW pilot group saying they dont want a union, theyre appearing arrogant in the victory about having "fought off" ALPA. This is just plain inappropriate.

What would you call ALPA sueing the pilot group that SkyWest already has, that pilots serve on?

At the time, I proclaimed that ALPA might win that battle, but they'd loose the war (in part) because of that "attitude".

Just as it was an option for Skywest to vote down ALPA (even though I wonder how many voted NO, since a no-vote is considered a NO vote), ALPA pilots can deny Skywest pilots jumpseating if they want. Fair is fair, sorry guys you can't have no union and expect those that pay 4-5% of their salary to just let you get by without.

so youre telling me what ALPA has done to expose the illegalites of SAPA was just a show of ALPA's arrogance? That was a huge plus for you guys.

tpersuit i think is going a little too far. like i said i dont think anyone will withhold jumpseats because skywest gives jumpseats to so many alpa pilots.

however the issue with kicking out the Fedex MEC chair is a big deal! thats pretty black and white. you told him how skywest felt about him being in their crew room. and now fedex gets to tell you to go apply somewhere else.
