Default Gulfstream Hiring Street F/O's?

Good Afternoon,

Just saw on APC that Gulfstream is hiring street F/O's. Would anyone be able to provide fidelity on this.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Apollo

Most everyone is hired as a "street F/O", regardless of airline.

I think he means as opposed to pft. I'm pretty sure there was a discussion about this just recently on the boards, perhaps try a search you should find something.

Gulfstream has their academy and puts those folks in the right seat. I was surprised to see that the academy wasn't able to fill the need, and they needed to hire like a normal airline.

Thanks

Maybe because people realized they didn't need to pony up large sums of cash to be trained in a kingair just to get hired by an airline.

Thanks

Wow. Apparently it's true.

They must, however, only be short by one. Because the job posting reads:

"...is currently seeking A qualified Pilot/First Officer" as in "one".

1,000 TT required... that's funny.

Well, of course. Because they're a higher quality regional than Eagle, Mesaba, Comair, Pinnacle, ASA, PSA, Piedmont, Commutair, Great Lakes or Colgan, their standards are higher.
