Do I Have A Future Here?

I mean, how bad is AWAC compared to everyone else? I thought we had an above average contract, I guess not...

This website and campaign isn't about growth, or fast upgrades, or bigger airplanes, or _____________ (doubters fill in the blank).
This campaign is about respect and honesty from upper management to labor. Its about getting a little consideration of the hardships this job causes its front-line employees and their families...and how they can be lessened by cooperation and compromise. Its about unity within the ranks of ARW pilots and, because we all face a slightly different version of the same struggle, our colleagues at other airlines. We've all taken it on the chin for the last 6+ years and its finally time we all say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
We have all sacrificed in our professional and personal lives to do this job, and all we ask for is to be treated like the professionals we are day in and day out, year after year...and yeah, we want our workrules and money back.

Better than some, worse than others. Don't misunderstand me, I'm not bitter and I really enjoy my job...but after you spend a few months on the line you'll know what we're talking about. Its all about perspective...
We do...but you should see the 2001 CBA ARW pilots came within minutes of striking for to achieve; 6 years later its still better than anything out there now. Besides, the "above average" (CONCESSIONARY) agreement we currently operate under is being used by management as a recruiting tool...even though they tell us time and time again we're too expensive.
I thought we had an above average contract, I guess not...

This is an eye opener. I was still under them impression they were still a good regional to work for.

But we arent getting the respect that we deserve from Management.
Rumor has it that "Big News" is dropping tomorrow.....one of the captains i flew last week with has friends in Appleton...who called him and told him. Both ALPA and AFA met up in there this past week....so we'll see if anything happens

I think I know the 'big news'. Nothing earth shattering, but something many people here had wished for. At least if it's what I think it is. But don't get your hopes up too high.
But I ain't telling............

Take it from someone who lived it. It really is a shame as to what has become of that place. It used to be a great working relationship with the pilots and management. Unfortunately the owners are in the business to make money, they just did it off our backs. I really hope AWAC will eventually get back to their roots and become the premier airline it once was. It was not that long ago that every pilot, mechanic, flight attendant, etc had over 15 years with the company. Good luck guys, it was a tough fight in 2001 but it was solidarity that got us an industry leading contract then. Lets keep our fingers crossed as to the arbitrators decision.
