It really needs to be quite a bit higher....remember thats 8 year pay. And that can be accomplished in couple of ways such as a straight hourly rate increase, or trip and duty rigs which increase pay. Note: some jet/regionals already employ "rigs" and other like RAH will probably be looking for them in their next contract.

okay rick here goes....using the following assumptions.... pay based on min guarantee, with no per diem, and no credit higher than block. Remember each persons lines from month to month may very. Block hours and CREDIT hours can vary widely as well as per diem. But for a SIMPLE look, MIN GUARANTEE and no per diem, flying left seat on a 50 seat jet. ALL pay 8 year pay under current contract. Some companies may be in negotiations NOW.
RAH E145 $65,700
XJT E145 $65,700
AE E145 $65,700
AWAC RJ200 $64,800
Mesaba RJ200 $61,200
*** remember this is in todays dollars.

for what its worth I made just over $31,000.00 my first year, if I work as much as I did this year with my current pay rate ill make just a few bucks over $50,000.00 as a 2nd year F/O, (only possible if you live in base)

I agree saab, for line holders the money can be higher. but for comparisons sake, min guarantee is a good baseline to start from.

Don't forget Air Willy still has trip and duty rigs that allow on some circumstances pilots to make more then just taking monthly guarantee x hourly rate. Not to mention the current pay scales are on a concessionary contract.

Final monthly numbers: Block 99:47, Credit 143:22
At any top-tier regional, if you can live in base and work your tail-off...$50K second-year is absolutely achievable. I'm looking at $30K first year now.

dude, 30k is pretty decent considering Skywest first year pay is only $19/hr. But the question is are you able to get that kind of block/credit consistently? I would work my butt of every month if I could, but more often that not it's just out of my control because for example Nov is looking extremely lean on open time at my company. I credited 154 hrs in Oct. (almost $4k including per diem), but it wouldn't be accurate for me to say I make $4k a month because this month was an aberration and I don't think I will ever see that kind of credit again.
