Default Block hours versus credit

I'm very familiar with the concept of work rules and how pilots accumulate ("credit") hours of pay above and beyond what they are actually scheduled to fly. In general what is the amount difference between the number of hours your schedule has you flying, versus how many hours you'll be paid factoring in work rules. Let's talk about it for the upcoming october lines and negate the fact that enroute delays may make you more pay.

Looks like I'm scheduled to block mid-60's and get paid 90.

The difference is due to sim (4 hours), a deadhead or two, and several single-leg days (daily guarantee), and maybe a few other work-rule type things.

Reality, I'll probably get paid more than 90 due to delays.

In contrast, at mesa it would be normal to fly 90 and get paid 65

Here is a paring for AWAC pilots based in DCA.

As you can see, the report time is 1758 local. Due to our pilot contract, a report this late in the day can be subject to a "No Min Day" exception. This means that for this first day you don't get the minimum 3 hour daily credit, and is applied to 3 or 4 trips with late shows or early finishes. This is denoted by "NOM". Total block and credit for the first day is 2:24.

The second day of this trip is two legs, LGA-PIT-ERI. Total block time for these two legs is 2:11, so there is :49 of soft credit to get the pilot up to the 3:00 minimum daily credit.

On the third day there is a PHL-ROC deadhead that is blocked for 1:15; we have 100% scheduled DH pay so that is additional soft credit. Scheduled block for that day is 5:17, but with the 1:15 DH the total scheduled credit for that day is 6:32.

This trip is low credit (under 19 hours), but the upside is that it is commutable. Sorry some of the colors are hard to see, but I wanted to make sure you saw what I was talking about.

76 hours of block and 96 of credit. That is for deadheads, daily min guarantee, two days of recurrent and one day of sim.

Consider this though, a pilot who flies out of ORD will credit alot on their schedule due to historical cluster flock that goes on there. The block may only be an hour but with any sort wx you will be late. But if you are flying primarily to outstations where the only handle one flight at a time and you don't have ATC or traffic concerns you will have historic credit times real close to historic block.

65 hrs of flight time and 125 hrs of credit. I had 18 days off and I was FBO'd on a 4 day and picked up another 4 day on my week off.
