I see NWA and company didn't make it to the list. I know at MESABA we've got some great metrix.

We've got "TAMDAR" not too easy to fudge the numbers. We've got pretty good SAT's though.

Gotta love this quote from the article:

As American Eagle's Huguely puts it: "We don't like being at the bottom."

When I'm delayed at a gate most the time it boils down to incompetence by the gate agents and ground crews. IAD I've boarded countless times with no paperwork yet and several times at JFK they've just loaded bags and not say anything until we ask then they have to radio in to see if they want bags or people off and 45mins later they arrive to the same conculsion we did right away.

I don't blame much on the actual regional airlines anymore.

Remember you're only technically late till 15mins after. No acars=10-15min a leg gain. ALWAYS 5 early.

Only about 1/3 of our fleet has ACARS right now, they all will have it in the near future.

I was unaware that TAMDAR could be used to report in/off/on/out times. My impression was that it's used solely to transmit weather information to NASA.

ACARS does not prevent an on-time departure.

No, but it sure makes it hard to say you left the gate 15 minutes ago when you haven't even started an engine yet.
