Humble and Kingwood are good areas and they are right by the airport (IAH). You can find very reasonably priced rentals there. At least you could a few years ago, unless it has changed.

1) Fresno is awesome. I love it here.

2) New Bern, NC was the cheapest place in the world. $350 a month for my own one bedroom apartment in a good area. Try finding that most places. It's near the coast of NC, which is good (beaches) and bad (hurricanes). But yeah, insanely cheap. With utilities I was still under $500 a month total for my own place. I wouldn't want to live there forever, but for a first year FO, it was great. Just glad I'm back in Fresno now .

wow, i lived an hour up the road in Merced, CA and there is no way you can say that valley is livable. It's nasty, hot, dusty, the people are dumber then bricks, the women are all either ugly, dumb, or pregant, or a nice combo of the 3. you can have fresno, with it's wonderful air quality (2nd worst behind bakersfield, which is 2 hours down the road, great place) stay far, far away from santan's butthole called the central valley of california. (if you can't get it from my avatar, I'm a Boston Red Soxs fan, who grew up in Boston, or shall I say paradise compared to fresNOfreakinway)

about seniority... if you get a job throwing bags for someone, you get a new senior date if you get hired on as a pilot right? you dont get to keep the other one... right? heh
