Yeah, it's actually slowed down quite a bit now. Most of the movement is from the upgrade classes now.

Would that be the upgrade classes that will be delayed in hitting the line due to lack of check airmen, or the upgrade classes that may be canceled in the upcoming months for the same reason?

Neither.... why the attack? Pilots here are upgrading, making more money, and moving on... no need to hate. TSA is not as bad as it used to be. There's still much room for improvement, but it really isn't that bad. In my situation, I would not make a lat move anywhere, not even RAH with their $2,500 bonus. I'm not here to make a career out of TSA, its a stepping stone to something bigger and better. I can potentialy upgrade in a year from DOH and I already enjoy plenty of time off to be home with my family.

Junior, that wasn't an attack at all. It was a simple question. TSA is hurting bad for CAs right now, but they can't upgrade nearly as many as they need to because they don't have the manpower for IOE. Lack of planning like that is what kills TSA.

It seemed like you were insinuating that the upgrade class would be delayed or canceled. That hasn't happened. They are a bit behind on upgrades, but according to a captain I spoke with a couple of days ago, its getting better.

Upgrade classes ARE being delayed. A good chunk of the September class won't be hitting the line until mid-November. I wouldn't be at all surprised if it gets even worse. All it takes is for another check airman to leave.

Ok, you're talking about getting out on line..... yeah, that's been the case for a while even with new hires. At least its not as backed up as ExpressJet is with their new hires

Still not sure where the canceled classes came from....

I said MAY be canceled, not WILL be canceled.
TSA has cancelled upgrade classes before due to FO shortage. I would not be surprised if they did it again.

Yeah, they're staffed pretty good on F/O's right now. None of the reserve F/O's are getting called
