Is an ATP written required for an airline interview?

At many airlines you will need to study much of the ATP question bank for the interview test anyway, so I would suggest going the extra distance and knock out the ATP written while you're at it. This is lower priority than learning the stuff you need for the interview.

I used the ASA ATP written test prep and also got The Turbine Pilot's Flight Manual. It's a pretty good book for anyone going from props to jets. It's dumbed down enough to understand, and makes it easier to absorb the more complicated info you get down the road. It also helped me answer some of the questions during the interview. I had no previous jet experience.

no, do not put your age, DOB, race, or any other defining characteristics into your resume (you're too young to need a VC. those are for professors and doctors that have been published and given multiple presentations at conferences and such)
any info that you volunteer that could be used to discriminate against you is fair game. if you don't tell them and they discriminate anyway, then you've got a fight.
just give the required info and any related work/training references. one page max. sell yourself, but be short & sweet

buy the Gliem CD and split it among you and 2 other buddies. It installs to your hard drive, and the license is good for 3 computers (maybe 4) and its even easier to study when you have the questions on computer.
