Default Colgan Beech Bases

Hey all,

Other things aside about Colgan, but what's the best beech base for someone who doesn't live in base but is willing to make a move to avoid the hell that is commuting?

I'm young and single, and would rather not find myself in Beckley WV.

Also, I heard LGA is a base now, but it's not listed anywhere on the company website, is there truth to this? Does everyone based in KHPN live in a crashpad and commute, or is it possible to live outside the city on that type of salary?

LGA is a SAAB base that is taking the place for closed Beech base LEB. I have heard from a few guys that Bar Harbor is awesome..supposed to be nice tough flying and a "fun" social scene. I do not know how freezing your a## off in Maine is fun, but to each their own.

I don't think they are hiring into the Beech right now.
