That's good. Sunday night, some tool captain waltzed into ops while I was serving my 6 hour 50 seat sentence. He proceeded to openly tell a buddy that he just got done flying this 'great' trip he pulled out of open time. Paid like 300 dollars. As he looked over at me sitting at the next table, I shot him a really unwelcome dirty look. I think he got my drift.
It's guys like this that pick up open time, bid HI lines, do favors, etc... that cause problems. Why should Comair or any other airline recall when their pilots are pulling more than their share of the weight?! This kind of stuff just kills me...

1: Yeah, get a name next time.
2: are you sure he wasn't being sarcastic or joking or something? At Time and a half for a captain that would be less than 3 hours, hardly worth bragging about
3: I haven't seen open time in ages, unless he signed up with screw scheduling directly. Nothing much in the Drop/Trade books either.

Sorry, andy but I have a first hand experience about their change. They put this into effect the day they came out with this program around 10/10 after the first round of furloughs. I had some suprises as I had no idea it changed, to which the pass bureau said, we sent all the pilots an email on epic (which you lost access to on comencement of furlough...fing morons).
All furloughees will be on the extended pass program once your furlough starts. All your pass riders will be able to travel, but they all have to pay a yield fare (regardless if parents have free travel days still). You will only be allowed to travel on Delta and DCI at S3B (regardless of any S2's you had left).
You still can nonrev on NWA, just call their reservation line, say you're a delta employee, use your comair number and doh and they'll give you a confirmation number. I used this a few weeks ago when it was gonna be impossible to get through ATL (big suprise) and I went through MEM instead on NWA.

I wish they say that, cuz I sent out hundreds of applications and either get no response back or they say they "stopped hiring due to the latest economic crisis good luck in your future" I'm curious to see why Comair is gonna be at a Career fair in Daytona Nov 5 and 6 though.

I can't believe eMaestro is still down. It's been down for what, like 5 hours now?

Here's the information on exhibitors at the Riddle Dork Expo 2008. Not that I think Shrinkair deserves defending here but there are lots of exhibitors listed, including other regionals with furloughs.
