Check this article out. From yesterday Flight Global.

Disputed Mesa ERJs heading back into service at Delta

The last sentence is the kicker.

That is the case. I hear Delta is paying for the concourse and they are reaching out to the local and state governments for help with the bill.

Simple math, allow me to explain:

Delta + X = (Delta + DCI)

X = Lowest Bidder

Lowest Bidder = Mesa

Wouldn't surprise me at all at this point...

So just simple CVG crew room doom and gloom logic and zero hard facts. Got it.

And you didn't see this two years ago?

The first rule of fight club is... don't talk about fight club. And the first rule of Comair is... update your resume every month.

...so Delta gave them everything they did out of JFK before and some of Comair's routes to cover the flying that had already been trimmed. They also received flying out of cvg to cover what was lost in MCO.
Fredex comes to us in 2005 and says "take concessions so Delta will give us more flying"; Comair takes concessions, and a month later Delta brings Mesa into the DCI fold.

Then Delta files BK and tells Comair it can't meet the contractual obligations for 34 growth aircraft because they're in bankruptcy, but somehow gets 14 900s and leases them to Mesa for a buck a month?

So now Delta tries to dump Mesa, gets stopped in their tracks, and Comair loses flying and furloughs pilots as a result. Real nice.

Reserve (airline) sucks.

Nope my furlough/bankruptcy radar only has a range of 30 days. Turning the gain up doesn't seem to help either, MX said they 'couldn't recreate the problem'... Solution: Resume updated.

CR7/9 Bid packets are out for those who care. Small increase in flying due to the 31 day month. Still taking about furloughs around November. Looking forward to flying the CR9 from ATL to freakin' Mobile, AL... Not! Lot's of crappy trips...
