Thought that the email said that recalls would begin in december. I may be wrong already dropped the email from my inbox. If furloughs do occur I know I would be one of the ones affected so I'm trying to keep a close eye on this stuff.

Is being assigned a RR from 6:30pm-Midnight legal for a LC1? They even changed my LC1 window to 6pm-Midnight. ***!?

Technically no, I believe that is one of the issues the union is fighting. Someone else can give you a better answer.

It's unbelievable the SHART scheduling pulls and gets away with. Imagine if the pilot group started doing things to the same degree as what scheduling does to us? We'd get fired instantaneously.

It's CLEAR as day that the LC1 window is from 0500 - 1500, THEY CANNOT DO THAT!!!!!

I don't think they actually changed your window times, as that is obviously not possible. They probably just adjusted the times so that the RR would be accepted in Carmen. I had to have the hours of a day off adjusted because I needed 10 hours of rest prior to a day off (yes, its confusing, but thats exactly what happened).

Its not that RR is prohibited by the contract for a LC pilot, it is just not mentioned. When the new contract was written, they forgot to change the wording on RR concerning what times you can sit ready. I'm surprised they haven't fixed this yet, as it seems it would just be a simple rewrite and/or LOA.

So if you have vacation scheduled for the next month, do you have to somehow put it into your bid?

Just bid around it, if you're on reserve, you have 9 days you can bid off(instead of the normal 11)..set of 4 and 3 and 2 softs
