...it's hard to not get false hopes with all this news. Granted I'm pretty deep in the pool and probably won't be coming up any time soon. This would definitely help out the potential furloughees, however.

No, that would not be my word of choice for what Delta tried to do before. The 900 contract is NULL and VOID because Mesa did not meet the requirements of the contract, so it is no longer a legal document. Use whatever word spells it out best for you.

Delta just tried to take flying away from Mesa before.

i dont know where you are getting this from but its not correct. Delta practically cut and pasted the "not meeting contractual performance..." bit from the previous press release. Both the ERJ and 900 flying were "contract cancelled" in the press release. Expect this to go to court. It is no different then the 50 seat flying.

I guess Delta figures if they are going to spend a bunch of money on a legal battle with Mesa, they might as well go for the whole enchilada! We will see if Bornhorst can deliver.

Eh, good point, friend.

Did you make it home the other day? You said the flight was looking pretty full.

Planning woke me up this morning at 10am and asked me which 70/90 training class I wanted to be in. Said they have a class 9/2 and 9/8 and are trying to get those who's bid had canceled first in a class. Take it for what it is worth, but I'd say we just got Freedom's 900's.

So we can fly them for a month and then return them to Mesa after they win the lawsuit. But yeah, come on over, the more FOols I got below me the better.
