One could only hope. It would make sence. Mesa might realize they have no chance in winning the lawsuit, so they could get cash from the buy out. Delta would also save money in legal fees.

Not sure if you work for Comair or not, but it's quite the opposite here. The training department gets most of their info from the line guys that come through. The SIM instructors anyway and the ground school instructors get their info from the chiefs and people that don't know any more than you and I.

That's probably not such a good idea. I flew with an instructor a few weeks ago and he said "I just make up random rumors and see how long it takes for someone to come ask me in the sim...Hey, did you hear we might be....."

I disagree... I think this is a good thing. If there were more furloughs, why not execute this bid, Then put out another bid? I think the more likely scenario is that something changed. Either ALPA stepped to the table to offer COLA's or something happened with freedom etc.
All that being said, it will probably change tomorrow.

The unfortunate list of furloughs and displacements will still happen and should come out monday but to a lesser extent.
