Nothing new. IBT has reduced the F/A furlough numbers to 150-175, with the possibility of even lower when the latest voluntary program closes. ALPA still has not brought anything to the table in terms of reducing the number of furloughs.
Newguy claims we never turned down a United offer and one is still out there on the table somewhere in the future.
Gas has come down, but we are still losing our flying (no shock there.)
Freedom will pick up close to 35-40 flights per day out of CVG with the reduction of Chautauqua, in addition to their expansion (and our reduction) out of JFK.
Even with the massive reduction in JFK, it will not close as a base.
Delta is looking at closing Concourse C in CVG and moving all RJ operations to A and B, although that is only a slight possibility at the moment. Can anyone say post-merger CVG shutdown?

While I think the writing is on the wall for CVG, I believe tearing down Concourse C has been in the plans for a while, with no official time table for going through with it (think ops trailor park).
Also, am I the only one that is sick and tired of hearing about Freedom getting more flying?

Did anyone hear the line when someone asked about open time and using all the reserves so at the end of the month we have no people. Response whas a bunch of hot air but then a line saying that because of staffing and weather we have used Freedom to operate some flights we should have done.
Friends don't let friends come to Comair.

I think the Comair SO position will be the new APU monitor. He will be issued a thermometer and a watch to see if the time and temperature are in range to consitute starting the APU.

Rumor has it that most of the FOs are going to be displaced to that of FPWs, or Freedom Plane Washers. We will be responsible for washing all their planes when they come into their CVG base. We will also need to provide the Freedumb crews with food and drinks.
