Vacation day today, and thanks to scheduling didn't get into JFK til about 1100 last night (after all the flights home had left). Orginally scheduled for an out and back that got back around 4pm. Thanks to those <insert expletive here> I am waking up on my first day of vacation in the JFK crew room to catch the first flight out of this hellhole. One day on and they just had to screw me.

And for that you should be beaten. It's a work area for those crews on duty. Not an emergency use hotel/crashpad.

Last I checked when I was workng on duty I was in an CRJ. No use paying for a crash pad for one night a month. For the first year guys it is like 20% of there take home pay for a crash pad.

Let's get everyones view on how this displacement is going to shake out. We know people are getting furloughed, downgraded and displaced. So where does everyone think they will wind up?

Will the 70/90 go senior for CA/FO's?
Will it go junior?

How far up the list in the 50 will lines go? 4 years?
Any guys being downgraded that read this board care to tell what you bid?

Yeah it was a real treat staying there. Trust me it's the last place I wanted to be but by the time I got in it wasn't worth the trip (time and $$) back and forth to my crashpad to get all of a couple hours sleep...

I see absolutely no problem with this. He was screwed by the company. Got in at 11 and was taking a flight around 6. After 30-45 minutes each way to a 100$ hotel the only difference was probably less than 6 hrs, in the middle of the night.

It would be stupid not to.
