Thought crossed my mind once or twice... I'm thinking I'll go back to flight instructing. I can make my own schedule, and get better pay.

Today threw me for a loop. I'm actually thinking flight instruction is better than the job I have now.

Wow..... Maybe I'll just go back to school.

It's a tough choice, the thought has crossed my mind but it would mean giving up (what little) seniority I have going back to the CFI things until things calm down a bit.

This truely sucks! To all of you who are wondering about your seniority, I would urge you to make other plans now. Don't look at how many people are between IOE and Indoc. The company is probably figuring their numbers off of the pilots currently flying the line. If you are in IOE or below right now, I am sorry, but you don't really have a prayer.

Things are going to get really nasty. I would say that this fuel situation is far worse than Delta trying to fudge numbers during a bankruptcy. Also this fuel isn't going to Pop like some are saying. Look at the stock market today. People that have held lines for years now are going to find themselves on reserve.

You know, on the other hand maybe the company will get what they want. Let's see how many people call this the final straw and change careers.

Judge details injunction against Delta: Financial News - Yahoo! Finance

Here's a few new details about the Mesa/Freedom injunction.

Looks like the courts are initially siding with Mesa on the injunction. Wonder if Delta will win the appeal?

OK, this thread has been too quiet tonight. It's eary even!

Hey RJ, I think that upgrade just crumbled in front of you. I hear ya though, I thought I was only a few months from an upgrade. Looks like that just went to about 2 years. Can you imagine 8 year FO's waiting to upgrade? I think I just threw up a little bit.

8? I'd expect at least 10 years now at Comair. Even with the rumored senior buyouts, we won't have any growth or attrition to cause some real upgrade movement.

It's still hovering at the 4 to 5 year mark for upgrades, as of right now at this very moment in time at this second in history.

Subject to change tomorrow.
