Any of you stock guys know what the impact of this statement would mean to Mesa?
The stock still trades, just not on the NASDAQ.

Cessna, I have been cancelled before and got paid for the whole flight. Being displaced as a lineholder is great. I had one flight at LGA where we got type 1 deice and taxied out. Then is started snowing again and there was a long line....Long story short we taxied back got type 4 refuled and departed. I called the CP and since we didnt deplane the passengers we got paid for the whole thing. THey know you have to open the door to refuel. If you dont deplane then you should get paid.

I did absolutely nothing at a job once. I got paid for the ENTIRE time I was there. I think this is part of the problem in the airline industry. "oh its not that bad, we could work for {insert airline name here}". Most of us accept it because we love to fly and hated that other job.
Honestly though, it is that bad. Ive also heard the whole we have to be competitive issue. That's fine, be competitive but why are we competing for pay with other ALPA airlines? Shouldn't ALPA have some sort of standardization here?

Well, that's exactly whats wrong with this industry and country. I'm sure Carlos Mencia could have said it better

Good example why this industry is so f-up! So, let's say you taxi out and sit in line for 2 hours and then you have some kind of emergency, have to coordinate with FA, ATC, run QRHs and then return to the gate. You shouldn't be compensated for that? Doesn't even have to be an emergency, when you sit in line for hours and return to the gate for more fuel, you should be compensated for the entire time. You are still responsible for all the passengers. But it's ok, right? As long as you get to fly a big shiny jet!
Thats the contract that we signed. Yes, I do realize that quite a few of us got on with Comair post-contract-negotiation. But as ALPA, we're supposed to think that we're a team, right? Our coworkers and union leaders fought long and hard for the contract that we work under. You may say "well I voted that contract down" well, too bad, its a democracy that we live in where the majority speaks for everyone. If you don't like it, work to get it changed, leave, or just be miserable but keep it to yourself. But if you're going to work to change it, be productive about it. Don't just sit and whine like too many of us do.
Sorry, rant over. Fire away.
