Question. I got a call at 6:10am to report at JFk at 7:40. i told the schedule that I can not accept it because it did not meet the 2 hours call out requirement. I am on still on probation; will i get in trouble for turning down this trip?
Thanks
PS later he called back and told me to sit ready at 8:30am

diver your right however the 2 hr call out in JFK and 1hr 30min in CVG, can be waived by a pilot at his choosing however it cannot be forced upon him or her. Then its up to that scheduler as to whether or not to give a 2 hr call out, displace another pilot, use the ready if available, or just delay the flight which is done alot.
If we are in a bind then notify the pilot of a ready reserve and run the flight on-time, because of no rpt to dpt time for a ready.

The capt. pfd went out at 40 kts....and again at 70 kts.....considering the rvr was 700....800....1000.....we decided to wait the weather out....OH and every other turn we got a steering inop message...had to set brakes...and reset the system.....
