Comair updates?

I think skybus did scare delta out of columbus a bit..i'm not sure if that had changed in the past few months..but i highly doubt you'll see a whole lot more routes out of it. Delta wants to shrink domestically, not grow. RAH would get it anyways .

I can't see Delta giving Comair too much more flying, unless it is some of the Freedom leftovers out of JFK, CVG, etc.
It will be interesting to see who fills the void left by Mesa at USAirways and United in the event that they close doors completely (only a matter of time, I understand)? You would think Comair would be pretty competitive in bidding for the extra lift, but do we have the staffing to take on significant amounts of additional flying?
BTW, best of luck to the good folks at Aloha and ATA in landing on your feet after what has surely been a rough week.

At least some good news in terms of staffing is they have cut down new-hire classes from the 3 months or so that it was when I attended to less than 2 months. If Comair has some positive news and some new flying from another carrier, it will have no problem filling classes.

Ok, I want everyone to take this for what it’s worth, just a rumor, so remember that. When the merger takes place, DL/NW, ALL connection feeder service will be limited to wholly owned ONLY. AKA, Mesaba, Compass and Comair. I know this is a lot of juice for us to handle, so don’t go all crazy on me. I also heard that we will see an increase in block hours by some 3000 hours in June due to the loss of F8.
Remember, just rumors but if true, good news indeed.

I've heard it twice. Once from a Delta crew in the jump seat from MCO-CVG last week, and then from a Comair captian today. So using the rule of thirds, i decided to jump the gun and post it on here to see if anyone else has heard this same juice.
