30,000 job cuts and domestic cuts of 5%
JP Morgan reporting 15-20 mainline aircraft cut and 25 additional RJ's. I wonder were comair falls in all of this.

The only saving grace I see is the fact that we are already at are contractual limit on airframes.(I know contracts are meant to be broken) Mesa has been unable to staff their flying so why not take it from them since they are canceling everything anyways.

"A spokeswoman says that if more than that amount agree to take the voluntary severance, it will be allowed. The severance program primarily affects mainline Delta employees. It will not affect Delta pilots, who have a union contract with the company, and employees at Delta regional carrier Comair, which is based in Erlanger, Ky."
Taken from the same link posted by RiddleEagle. I'm assuming this quote means the buyouts dont affect Comair, but its a glimmer of hope nonetheless.
Maybe this means Freedom goes bye-bye and thats more than enough for the 25 RJs.

I'm hoping for a Freedom send off wich would take it's 36 50 seaters. Their DCI -900s are more than welcome at Comair!

an above post told somewhere to get a job elsewhere............ thats going to be pretty hard considering a lot of the big ones are stopping new hires classes......... ASA Xjet and Skywest ........... Where else that is hiring is THAT much better than Comair besides RAH................ eagle? mesa? psa?
its not that bad here.......... yes its not what it used to be, but i mean gosh, at least we havent completely halted hiring and our contract is much better than a few mentioned above

Paok- Thank you for your voice of reason.
Anyone else think the open time for JFK FO's in the SAW is absolutely pathetic. Real slim pickings this month. Not like they'll let you drop anything either "for staffing levels."
