I saw this on airliners.net, I don't know if anybody posted it.
"Interestingly, in the 8/27 issue of Aviation Daily, the average block hour operating cost was listed for a number of CRJ-200 operators, the only operator with higher costs was Mesa.
Mesa - $2231/hr
Comair - $2203/hr
Air Wis - $1638/hr
Skywest - $1389/hr
ASA - $1339/hr
Mesaba - $956/hr
PSA - $953/hr
Pinnacle - $730/hr"
I thought it was interesting. I wonder if Daddy D want us to the cheapest HO! I mean OH.

Mosquito,
Those numbers don't make sense unless they include a lot of costs not directly related to operating the aircraft.
I mean really, three times the cost of Pinnacle? Do Pinnacle pilots pay management to fly the planes? Does COMAIR pay cash at the local FBO for fuel? How do you cost three times more?
The only possible thing that I can think of is that they included management bonuses.
I don't believe those numbers.

I am trying to find the article that the poster on airliners.net found that info on. Here is the link and maybe you have better luck.

Just an observation: Anyone notice that these ALPA FastRead emails never mention OH? One of the biggest announcements in Comair history happened this week, yet they don't mention it. I never see them mention our furloughed pilots either, whether still out, or just getting back.

I agree... I have seen other articles where the cost were VERY different. Some funky math going on there.
question-
I remember someone using there expired ATP written on a checkride after they were furloughed. You just have to have an airline employee number right? So if you go to another airline, all is still good right?
