I think spoiler is talking about more concessions, they wants to make us more like Mesa. But I agree with your statement why fill that position up if we are going to be sold?

I think the rumors are only gonna get worse, and scare tactics will be huge during this next year, every single union group is under negotiations this fall... rumors are gonna get out of hand. Management will use whatever tactics are necessary to secure lower cost contracts, and I think this is only the beginning.

All I said was that there WILL be an announcement on Sept. 1. What that announcement entails I am not 100% certain because I do not work in management, I am only feeding of the info I receive from people that have been reliable, trustworthy and have been with this company for many years.

Here is what I know and have been told:

Apparently this announcement will be a set-up for upcoming contract negotiations which apparently involves Mesa and our pilot contract. There is a reason that RG was brought here to Comair. Also, I'd like to point out that if a senior guy here will tell you that it'll be bad news, ask him for who? Keep that in mind!

mesa and your pilot contract? I thought mesa was buying republic. I have been interested ever since rg went over. Cc air had the same exact thing happen when mesa took them over. That said, i dont know how this deal will happen. They dont have cash, and delta doesnt have a great relationship with mesa. I dont know if thats the direction u think its going?

No.

MY GUESS is it'll be more like "you want this flying? Accept this contract!" What flying you ask? Not sure, but I could see SkyWest -> Mesa/Comair aquisition = USAirways flying = Comair covering flying = But have to take this contract.
