Must be a bad day again... I got home from my trip this morning, and after awhile I realized my phone was dead. When I plugged it in and turned it on I had 3 messages from scheduling in attempts to junior manning. Thank the Lord I don't check out after trips.

Not that this has anything to do with anything but here is a little Airline humor

I see there is about a 500 hr. loss of flying on the 70/90 for April, which I guess is pretty usual for April. I did see a few new cities though. ATL-CAK/BNA/IND and SBN out of CVG. Can't wait to see how many hours we are going to loose on the 50 for April.

Here's a good example of how not to do a crosswind landing, why crosswind limitations should be followed and not exceeded, and why crosswind correction is vital to keeping the wing from getting lifted by a gust.

This aircraft did lose its left winglet, and possibly the right...

English Proficiency
So I was trying to catch up on my ALPA reading and found this little tid bit. Now it looks like the FAA is automatically sending replacement certificates.
The ability to read, speak, write, and understand English is already a U.S. regulatory eligibility requirement; the FAA Registry began issuing all new certificates with this endorsement on February 11, 2008. Certificates that are ordered as regular replacement certificates will include the endorsement.
So is this stating that if you order a replacement for $2 it will come with this endorsement or is the FAA already sending out new certs.

Ahh yes, one of the few benefits of being on reserve....no junior manning. Every day is JM on reserve. Except I guess you can get junior manned on a soft day off (assuming you've already had the one moved)? If I recall, the contract says a pilot cannot be junior manned on a hard day off. But I don't remember seeing any relief for a soft day. Correct me if I'm wrong.

What would checking out after a trip have to do with JM?
