MP is not who you think, MP is an ALPA volunteer who handles the furloughees. You are thinking of MM.

If MP is someone else, then I am sorry, but still glad. FWIW, MP is a scab and almost as bad as that Chubby CP that was promoted, and the other Chubby CP that told me when I handed my two weeks in, "I hope you like getting furloughed."" When I told him I was going to NWA. As for my response, "I would rather be furloughed from a Major airline then stuck at Comair for the rest of my life..." I turned my back walked out and smiled.
Good for you PAL! You have big giant beach balls!! Glad you told us the same story agin!!

It's not the MP you're thinking about. This guy deserves kudos. Hope all is well on your side of the fence.

GrUp...I don't think you can charge them yet. You're not "in" until the first day of class.

ask a CP. Don't spend a dime of your own money unless you absolutely have to.

I distinctly remember during the interview one of the major selling points of employment with Comair was the insurance, and the ability to pay off past medical debts once you come on line. Perhaps you could talk to your AME and ask him to wait for payment until you get back.....if you have a good standing with him, I don't see why he wouldn't do it for you.

Some AME's will not charge you for a medical of you're a furloughed pilot. They might charge you for the EKG if you need one. You just have to look around. Regarding the insurance paying for your medical; I think you have to have a valid insurance policy at the time of the exam. Comair does not pay for your medical, the insurance company does.
