I think there will be a 2nd round. I was less than 20 away from making the cut, so I'm definitely hoping so. If not, it should definitely be the end of summer; as the hiring at other airlines takes a few of the Comair guys.
Agreed. The big question is how many will bypass/resign?

Something to consider: Not including the voluntary furloughs, there are 48 CVG based pilots that were sent a recall letter. How many of them might choose not to return because they would be JFK based for a few months. I'm kind of glad that I did not make this first round, because I don't want to have to find a crashpad for just a short time. By the time they start the 2nd round, the only bases available will be DTW and CVG!

MEM? I don't think Comair will open a MEM base if that is what you are asking.
If you were CVG based before the furlough, you are going to be recalled as JFK First Officer, which means you should get hotel and per diem while in training in CVG.
Also, all who were CVG before furlough would be recalled with hotel paid for. (That's not earth-shattering, but every little bit helps)
In the email attachment from MP, the recall letter stated we need to show up with current certs. Anybody know if we can now go to AME and charge the medical to comair or is this on our own dime? My med "passed away" in april of this year.
And per diem which adds up after a few weeks straight. But I certainly would prefer a DTW commute over a JFK commute upon recall.
I am so glad to hear that there is some positive news at Comair. Thanks for the correction Andy.

I am so glad to hear that there is some positive news at Comair. However, I can't remember where I saw the post thanking and being greatful to MP, if MP is Mike "Cessna", then you guys are on crack and have no idea who this clown is. If MP is someone else, then I am sorry, but still glad. FWIW, MP is a scab and almost as bad as that Chubby CP that was promoted, and the other Chubby CP that told me when I handed my two weeks in, "I hope you like getting furloughed."" When I told him I was going to NWA. As for my response, "I would rather be furloughed from a Major airline then stuck at Comair for the rest of my life..." I turned my back walked out and smiled.
