Comair updates?
First, congratulations to all of you returning to Comair!!! It has been a very long time for all of you.
My DOH is 09/07 and wonder if anyone close to my DOH has been called? I am out of country until the early June and wonder if the company will leave the message on my cell or simply bypass me?
Again, for those of you who have been waiting for this great news, Congratulations!!

Take a look at the contract for all the details.

Im #97 with a 7 May 07 DOH. Looks like #100 goes to the first guy in the class behind me. Tink, were u in the military before the furlough? Bc I wasnt so I am accepting recall but my orders go until Jan 2011, so I think I Should just be able to send them in, and be "back" at comair but on leave.
I got out after an earlier deployment so that I could concentrate on civilian flying and not worry about deploying over and over. My unit is on it's 4th. I got back in this past Sept and deployed. I don't think it matters as long as the company has a copy of the orders and know you will accept a recall when/if it comes your way. The question is, who exacty do we give our orders to and who do we tell that we will accept a recall? We won't be able to respond to a certified letter that's in the states, obviously. I emailed MP at the MEC and I think that may do trick.

..."Crewmembers should watch for follow-up communications from our Crewmember Services team regarding bidding and next steps, and "company leaders" will continue to keep you updated on the latest developments."
Company Leaders huh?
Wow, I didn't know we still had any of those around here. Learned something new today.

Thanks for the well wishes. Hopefully everyone at Pinnacle sees some benefit from the latest developments at Deltaworld.
You should return at what ever pay scale you left at. I don't think you accrued an longevity. Basically if you had been at comair for 2 years and have been furloughed for a year you don't come back on 3rd year pay. You would still comeback on 2nd year pay.
I think what you are refering to is "snapback." Everyone gets a pay raise in 2011 back to the old rates. Not even sure what the old rates were.
Welcome back to everyone! Good news around here has been due for a long time! Things are still not perfect but they have settled down a little bit. Just be on your toes with scheduling. Learn the contract cause they have no idea and will try to get you do illegal assignments in a heartbeat.

Pilots who were with Comair during the bankruptcy, as part of the concessions negotiated, lost a year of longevity until 2011 - at which point in time it will be restored...unless the company can find a way to violate that agreement they made, as they've violated just about every other commitment they've made.
Pilots who were hired after the bankruptcy, if I recall correctly, were not subject to this loss of longevity.
In other words, those pilots who have been with Comair since before the bankruptcy (and who weren't at or near the 18-year mark for Captains or 8-years for First Officers) have been paid at a rate one year less than they have actually served.
This was one of the concessions negotiated to "position Comair for growth" and to "make Comair competitive". At that time there were 160+ airframes on the property...160 of which were actually being operated...by close to 1800 pilots.
Keep this in mind when the company starts sending messages in the future that include the words "growth, costs, competitive, too senior".
Congratulations and best wishes to those accepting recall. You've all been through a horrible experience.
You accrue seniority..but not longevity..there's a difference..Seniority will give you your original DOH for pass benefits, longevity would be your pay..we don't get that.
You will come back, to whatever year of pay you left on.
