Glad to finally see some more hiring! Good news for the Comair guys that jumped ship to Compass, that is going to create some massive movement over there with the flow-trough and all the high-time guys they hired leaving.

What I meant was that Skywest will buy compass and possibly merge it with ASA or run it as an independent airline. According to the other forum in the other website.
Atlantic Southeast Airlines is the name of the company (Incorporated March 12, 1979). ASA is just an abbreviation, although, oddly enough, the founder's name was Asa Candler. I'm not sure, but I would think their paychecks and other docs have always said Atlantic Southeast Airlines. I think "Candler" was a better call sign than "Acey", but maybe something like "SkySouth" would be more appropriate nowadays
Anyone know any cool call signs (civilian)? I always liked "Rattler" (Airnow), and I still say bring back the "Critter" call sign (Valujet)...much cooler than "Citrus"

If DAL starts to hire, those on furlough bypass gets the first chance to fill up the 240 slots then it would be 20 from Compass and 9 from Mesaba per month. It wouldn't take long for DAl to fill up 240 new slots, unfortunately. Nonetheless, it is a good news if DAL actually hires this summer.
wait...never mind...

I have a feeling that SkyWest Inc./ASA is going to start their own branded operation!
"these rumors" about Comair flow-through stem from an offer on the table a few years back for a flow-through/flow-back with DAL. For whatever reason, not least of which I'm sure was the flow-back, Comair said thanks, but no thanks.
And I'm sure someone will chime in about not having all the facts, (i don't), but the result is still the same...the only wholly owned that doesn't have an option to flow-through with Delta announcing hiring.
...but then, you already knew that!
