Maybe I'm miss reading this post but the way I read it your saying that the Freedom crew said something along the lines of that the Regional Elite just found out they were going to have massive layoffs so they may be a few minutes in parking the plane. The passenger’s reaction was to get mad at the delay and when they got off the plane they took it out on the ground crew?????????????????????????

First let me say that I can feel their pain because I'm a former Comair ramp agent that worked in Orlando and was sitting in the room when Comair human resources came in and told us the Orlando operation was closing. I remember very clearly the Comair Captain calling into operations and complaining no one was around to park his plane and when he was told about the meeting he simply stated it wasn’t his problem and wanted someone out there now.

I also have friends who moved their lives from Orlando to Cincinnati and other places to stay with a company they believed in only to have Comair pull the rug out from under them by closing or changing to that "new" company called Regional Elite.

A bottom feeder is opportunist who profits from the misfortunes of others and I think that defines you. You took the opportunity to take a shot at people you don't know/like by bringing in the fact that a group of good hard working people whose loyalty to a company that doesn't deserve it lost a job most truly loved.

I want to send all my best to all my former coworkers trust me when I say it may seem dark right now but things will be better in the very near future for you.

First off, Comair is just a bunch of pilots and flight attendants milling around for hours in airports everywhere. Comair is just a bunch of professional mechanics and even some professional office workers trying to get by and wondering how worthless their homes will be by this time next year. Comair is just the word on the side of a plane in letters so small that you could only read it from the jetbridge, if it wasn't painted so low on the nose. Comair is the punchline to a joke told by Delta Captains.

Comair does not make decisions. Comair does not make plans. Comair does not have a 20-year plan, a five-year plan, or a plan for next year.

Comair does not have a rug to pull out from under anybody.

You are referring to Delta. Delta has done these things to our co-workers.

OK maybe its because I've been on the ramp and lost my job but what did the crew say that was so bad??? If they said something like "sorry for the delay the ground crew doesnt feel like working today just because they getting laid off is not an excuse for this delay" If thats what they said then I'll be happy to call Delta and Mesa customer service because that is uncalled for. If they something along the lines of "sorry for the delay but the ramp crew just found out they will be out of a job in the near future" I have no problem with that because I've been in that situation. Freedom, ASA, Republic crews all passed our situation onto the passengers in Orlando most people who found out got off the plane thanked us for the work we did (I have many friends who have moved to other airlines in Orlando and have former Delta Connection passengers seek them out to make sure they are still doing well)Passengers, for the most part, are very understanding and good people (JFK may be the exception to the rule)

I hold by what I said before

I dont know exactly what was said, all I know is that a bunch of passengers got off the plane screaming at the gate agents because "its not their fault you are getting fired." I may be missing something because I wasnt there. And maybe im in the wrong for blaming Freedumb pilots... In my opinion nothing should have been said to the pax about it.

Who the hell is running Delta? I see a lot of Northwest decisions being made here!!!

Well at least their being offered severance packages. I just spoke with Trish from sort. Poor girl was trying to keep it togheter.........

Well IMO, this does not look well for Comair, unless they go to DTW, which I well, when I spoke to DICK Anderson, he gave very a bad feeling about that.
That was definitely part of Delta's plan. In order to get Washington to sign off of the merger between NW and Delta they had to prove that no Delta Jobs would be lost. So they spun everyone off into a new company. Now it looks like it's not a loss of a job by anyone really related to Delta. We know that D owns RHS, but RHS is not an airline so it basically just looks like they are ending a partnership with a contractor.

Next, the pilots and flight attendants at Comair will be spun into two separate companies outside of DCI.

I feel better now, at first I thought you were just using the situation to take a shot at "Freedumb". Now that I know you weren’t there, don’t know what was said but KNOW the crew said what ever they needed to say to get the passengers to put aside any human civility they had, find the nearest gate agent and say the most hurtful thing they could say.

Those "freedumb" people got to be stopped!!!!!

I can't say it enough about you:

A bottom feeder is opportunist who profits from the misfortunes of others.

I very rarely post on this board but your post made me angry. As a former Comair agent, as a pilot, father, friend and human being I was insulted by your very transparent attempt to take a shot at a group at the expense of YOUR coworkers.

This will be the end of this for me your not going to waste anymore of my thoughts but remember how you ended your first post on this: "What comes around goes around my friends" I think your right so since you are "on the street" take the time look in the mirror and think about how you tried to use others misfortune to make yourself feel better and look at where you are.

Just for the sake of clarification... how did his original post make you angry? He was defending the RHS employees and sympathizing with their situation.

As subsidiary employees of Delta, we are all in this together. Many of us are already out of a job and it sucks to be frank. I don't know if you currently fly for Comair, are furloughed, or work for another airline, but I did not see anything potentially angering in his post unless it was the Freedom "Freedumb" reference?..

You sucked me back in..... :-) Let me try to explain, I feel theaviators sorrow on so many loosing their jobs is genuine, I have no doubt in that. The true theme of the post was to take a cheap shot at Freedom by infuring the crew said something dirogitory just to try to hurt Delta Elite people. As I said before I worked at Comair on the ramp and I know lots and lots of crews from every Delta Connection carrier and I feel safe in saying there are very very very few who would gloat and even less that would vocalize it to others let alone passengers.

One question for you. As a moderator you edited my post because of what I said about theaviator, good call, I shouldnt have said that but if what I said was an insult to other Member(s) why is Freedumb still in the posts?? I think it is clever on a 2nd grade level but it was intended as and insult to the Freedom pilots clearly. I hope I cleared myself up a bit for you
