Comair updates?
It depends... I do know that I'd like to have the option to. If today were year 8 on furlough, I'd take a recall if one came right now... but things are pretty bad for us right now. If another job came along that was better or the same.. I might not come back... it just depends on what's going on when (if) the recall letter comes.

Today, March 16, 2010, Delta Air Lines announced the closing of Concourse A in CVG effective May 1, 2010. Recently, Delta Air Lines also announced a reconfiguration of the banks of flying at CVG that will lessen the peaks and valleys of the current operations schedule while still committing to maintaining 160–170 flights per day at CVG. With the retooling of the flight schedule, Delta has been able to optimize the use of terminal and gate space and can now shift all operations into Concourse B, which was previously underutilized.
In addition to this announcement, Delta has stated its intention to have Delta personnel provide all ramp and gate functions for mainline and Connection carrier flights. This decision will directly impact hundreds of former Comair employees who joined Delta Regional Elite Services group last year. We are deeply saddened by the difficult situation that these former coworkers will be facing in the coming months.

The email from the union sounds very suspicious regarding the shift to concourse B: “At this time, we are not aware of any changes to the Comair staffing model or domicile locations resulting out of the closure of Concourse A”
Sorry to all the Delta Regional Elite brothers and sisters that will be losing their jobs

My question is this:
What sort of "airline" spends millions of dollars to spin off Comair's orginal customer service department, create new I.D. badges, etc., only to after what, not even a year lay them all off and shut down the operation? Who the hell is running Delta? I see a lot of Northwest decisions being made here!!!
Well at least their being offered severance packages. I just spoke with Trish from sort. Poor girl was trying to keep it togheter.........
Well IMO, this does not look well for Comair, unless they go to DTW, which I well, when I spoke to DICK Anderson, he gave very a bad feeling about that.

Ive got a few friends at CVG who currently work for Regional Elite as well as family members. I would just like to thank the Freedumb crew who pulled into CVG at around the time of the RHS meeting. Thank you for telling the pax that the reason you were not getting pulled into the gate on time was because the ground crew just found out they were losing there jobs. Every angry passenger from that flight made all the newly unemployed people feel great. Thanks for proving why you are a bottom feeder. What comes around goes around my friends.
