There seems to be rumors at Skywest, PSA, Piedmont, and now Comair.

United, US Airways, and now Delta.

Surprise surprise?

(insert totally unrelated rambling here) If Freedumb gets cut loose, they have 22 50-seaters operating for Delta, right? So, even though DaddyD wants to cutback 50 seat lift, aren't at least some of the routes/slots being flown by Messa still desirable. Since they're based in CVG & JFK, and we have a bunch of -200's sitting on the tarmac...how long before someone in the ATL ivory tower does something that might make sense...use ComAir! I know we're shedding airframes, but less reduction is still possible, no?

ok...gotta' go help some Bubba's who fell off the turnip truck with me!

I agree with you Nostep... I think it will be a good thing for Comair. Maybe not a huge thing.... but has gotta help just a little.

We all know Comair is understaffed. There is no excuse when you are canceling flights because you don't have enough crews, but Comair is too stubborn to realize that and recall pilots.

One more thing, I also went in to one of our chief pilOTS who said this.....
wait for it....... What does Mesa filing bankrupcy havE to do with us? Delta hasn't said, but the company is working on bringing back all furloughs. For now all will have to wait and see. There are many rumors out there, but Delta hasn't told Comair what they plan to do. SO WE WILL ALL HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE AND DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THE RUMORS.
Oh,

So after I rush my app at eagle because the folks at Delta ground are for CERTAIN that CVG/Comair is screwed...I then wait and see as we know rumors don't have much clout (and OH management is dutiful on getting us recalled). Makes Total sense. Thanks for the clarification

Dude, I just repeated rumor and what a chief pilot told me. NO ONE knows Delta's plans at this time for Comair /Mesa flying or if Comair will pick up that flying. The ground crews were told to expect cuts in flying at CVG which is why their bidding for lines now(soon). No more full timers, and they were told to expect BIG staff reductions. Do I, or anyone else know for certain what Delta south is going to do with Comair, CVG or the whole of DCI for that matter? No.
Except R.A. and he's not showing his hand. I'm going to do what the C.P. told me, pay no attention to the rumors- just wait and see. I think the ground crews are saying that based on what's about to happen to them. .

Well, there's just nothing to update at Comair anymore...but nothing happening is better than losing 30 more 50 seaters..i guess we'll have to wait till next week for that announcement.
