Delta adjusts CVG schedule to boost profitability

Delta is adjusting flight schedules at the Cincinnati hub in January to improve overall profitability. The changes will not reduce mainline jobs or service or affect Cincinnati business travelers.
“It is in the best interest of Delta’s Cincinnati customers that we take every step possible to return the Cincinnati hub to profitability,” said Joe Esposito, managing director-Schedule Planning. “January’s changes are another step in the right direction as they reduce departures in the 11 a.m. flight bank that historically has been the smallest and least profitable for the hub.”
The January schedule maintains service to all 50 of the top destination cities from CVG, including daily nonstop service to Paris-Charles De Gaulle.
Flights will be reduced from 215 to about 190. Four cities – Huntsville, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Savannah, Ga.; and Tulsa, Okla. – will be discontinued from Cincinnati but will continue to be served from other hubs.

First off, I doubt management gives a crap about pilots quitting at mainline or connection. Every pilot that quits saves them a few months of furlough pay.
And secondly, the thought of management actually caring about pilot commutes is also highly dubious.

I think that's what his post was pretty much saying....

I think what he is trying to say that management whats senior crews to quit so the company does not have to pay them. If you make life hill for senior crews, they might quit.
Opps, I mean Delta's routes that they are having Comair fly.
