I'm still hearing 6%, but since this week is payday week, they will distribute profit sharing next week.

With that, over 400 folks will be furloughed from RHS since mainline lost all those international departures and Delta wants thier folks to do it.
Moving the 700 and 900's to another carrier will take time, since the leases are paid by us and not Delta. It takes time to get approval from the leasor to transfer the leases to the other carrier. We actually had a problem with transfering one of the -200's to Pinnacle. The leasor actually declined the transfer, so we got to keep the aircraft!

They finally let us go once people started talking about writing letters to the government. Unemployment sucks, however it has been a REALLY< REALLY nice vacation from the retarded politics that take place there. It has been so great to not start a 4 day trip with someone spewing Doom and Gloom or needing to iron their panties because they got junior manned. I have not only been stress free, but I have lost weight and actually sleep now.

To those thinking about taking an early out package. If you are thinking about it, just do it. I took it because I was uncertain of when something like that would be offered again. You just don't know what's next with that company and I didn't want to get furloughed and be left with nothing. I'm pretty sure you all realize by now that there will be no silver lining for sticking around. That is if you are one of the guys contemplating leaving. It's not like you are going to hold on and all of a sudden be upgraded to CA in a year and then get a job with the majors a year later. Doubt it. It's also not like you are ALL going to get hired by Jet Blue this fall. I'm pretty sure near half of all regional pilots have sent their resumes to Jet Blue in hopes of a job this fall. Good luck with that!

PM me if you have any questions about the last package or how it went.

Question about Unemployment: Any of you guys been successful in collecting unemployment from New York State even though you live in another state? According to the New York State Unemployment website if you work in NY state you would apply through them regardless of your state of residency.
