Haven't decided yet about upgrading yet. Still chewing on the terms. Any luck on the job front for you? I tried to get several guys hired over here. For whatever reason, they have chosen to remain extremely understaffed and not hire more pilots. I had 6 days off during my last rotation. I'd rather work than sit around and do nothing, but a few extra days off would be nice.
I'm in Paris right now, no thanks to DL. My flight to the ME doesn't leave until Monday. I had to go via FRA and take the ICE train just to get here...3 days early. Granted, there are worse places to spend 3 days...but Paris is 'spensive. I spent 40 Euro today. That's eating cheap(ish) food and admission to the Louvre (9 Euro). No cab/bus/Metro or anything.
Trying to fly to Paris S3 ∞ will be impossible for Comair folks. (Lumberg voice)That'll be great.
And yes, I know passes are a privilege.

3825 Delta
What a bummer. The DL FA on my last flight went on for 20 minutes about it.

I've been flying full time for the Guard. It's funny, I got into the Guard to get PIC time to get an airline job. Now I can't even imagine flying for a major. The pay keeps getting worse and the chance of a furlough is too great.
Hey, are there a lot of open slots in the Guard for pilots?
Don't lose sight of the big picture... just think of the global network you'll be able to enjoy!

Comair most profitable regional?
So how is it that comair is consistently listed as the most profitable regional airline in the country (BTS | First-Quarter 2009 Airline Financial Data: Network Airlines Report Sixth Consecutive Quarterly Loss Margin), but they still claim that they are too expensive. This may reflect being paid predefined rates while reducing costs, but doesn't this show that comair would be able to charge lower rates while still maintaining an industry standard profit level without any types of concessions from employees?
I would wonder if some of this data is just accounting bs; does anyone have more info on this?

I've been trying to find out where the funds for our paychecks come from; Delta or Comair? If it comes straight from Delta, there would be ammo for the unions to show that indeed we are Delta employees. Of course no one from payroll will divuldge that to me.
