And based on some of the comments, most of the public just think we're whiny airline pilots that get 20 days off a month and just this rest issue as just leverage.

I think most of the comments are from Delta Pilots

It might help the industry but it will only anger Delta Management at Comair.

There is a reason why Mother D increased the non-rev bennies for Compass and Mesaba and took ours down a notch. This allows Comair to be isolated again. Mainline doesn't care because they get priority and the other regionals are getting better than they had. So once again Comair is a wheel thats about to get greased as in BOHICA!

We have sent letters of no confidence, requests for our benefits to be restored, and now this exposure. OH didn't respond directly but the there are a few quotes from Atlanta.

I'm not sure why Delta just doesn't liquidate OH and get it over. And don't tell me that we're getting merged because that would just transfer the problem to MSP. I highly doubt Mother D will allow that.

Looks like Delta is going to offer another round of Early Retirements for it's employees with 10+ YOS combined with age to equal 55. Didn't say that they would do another Early Out though.

If they offer this again at OH, I'll put money on it that a ton of guys take them up on it. It almost seems like the last time they offered it at OH, that a lot of guys thought things weren't actually that bad. However the story changed and I think lots of guys want out now.

I could see a few more takers. Last time the bid closed before the whole JFK shift happened. Plus, you may have people that didn't have things work out quite like they wanted them to after the displacement bid.

It would be a whole different story if there were more job opportunities.

It has already been offered, however lots of stipulations. Not sure what the last one requirements were, but this one is basically geared towards the very most senior guys. I'm sure that's the point anyways. Go to Deltanet to see the posting.
