I do not think RAH flying 190’s for Midwest violates the Delta scope agreement. It does really suck that we are losing more mainline jobs to regional. Good luck finding a job at mainline any time in the near future.

Isnt that why RAH has 3 airlines? To get around scope? I dont think REPUBLIC flies for delta, just CHQ and Shuttle

Thanks for clarifying that. I wonder if they will fly the 190 for US Airways. It wouldn't surprise me if RAH has a deal with them too.

The whole RAH thing is a bit confusing to most people, but who cares, they are all the same piece of crap!

Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. owns three regional airlines...

Chautauqua Airlines
  • American Connection (ERJ140s)
  • Continental Express (ERJ145s, CRJ2s (going away)
  • Delta Connection (ERJ145s; I think all the 135s are gone)
  • United Express (ERJ145s)
  • USAirways Express (ERJ145s)
Republic Airlines
  • Midwest Connect (EMB-170s, soon E190s)
  • USAirways Express (EMB170/175s)
Shuttle America
  • Delta Connection (EMB175s)
  • United Express (EMB170s)
  • Mokulele Airlines (EMB170)

The 190’s could be going to Hawaii to compete with GO/Mesa

For some odd reason I decided to open up one of the Union emails and read it, now I know why I kept deleting them as soon as they arrive in my e-mail inbox....
  • As employees working within the Delta brand, we want to make sure Delta is successful. Delta should change its benefit decision to allow us to contribute to the success of the Delta brand.
Won't happen. Delta doesn't care about Comair!
  • Failure to reverse the travel benefits change will increase the burden of all commuting employees as they attempt to get to and from work. This benefit loss will create many consequences that could threaten the operational integrity of affected carriers and the Delta brand as a whole.
Yah, let's threaten Delta that if they don't change the travel benefits, our crew members won't be able to get to work!

Again, won't happen. Delta doesn't care about Comair! The letter to Anderson won't do squat.

The Unions No. 1 concern should be bringing back furloughed pilots! I find it amazing how there are F/As that got hired a year after me still have a job and I'm on the street, because we have a crappy Union!

We'll see. As long I move closer to a recall I will be happy (Yes I want a go back, please don't flame me for it).

I highly doubt that the senior guys would even move a finger to consider this...... after not even trying to save the last 300 from the street

I’m sorry to say that the senior guys will not care about saving any jobs. The will always be on the top of the seniority list and will never have to be on reserve. Look at our reserve rules; they are probably the worst in the industry. When the contract was negotiated, neither the union nor the senior guys cared about reserve rules because it did not affect them.
